Maung Daw: August 10, 2008: - In Burmese military, ordinary soldiers’ condition are so worse day by day because of their salary is not properly cover for their survival and living cost, according to firm sources.

On one day that last week of July 08, from as foresaid battalion No: 5, sergeant Kyaw Naing’s
Wife was accused upon Daw Ma Ngay, an ordinary soldire’s wife that her chicken was stolen by Daw Ma Ngay. For the matter of that they have been quarrelling and at one point Daw Ma Ngay’s one ear was bitten and cut off by officer’s wife.

So, Daw Ma Ngay has tried to open case file at Maung Daw police station. But in-charge of Maung Daw police station has told Sergeant Kyaw Naing that to give 2 lakhs Kyat for victim Daw Ma Ngay as a compensation money. In this way, in-charge of Maung Daw police station could make compromised between them. Wounded person, ordinary soldier’s wife, Daw Ma Ngay went from Maung Daw to Sittwe general hospital to medical treatment for her injured but she didn’t get compensation money from in-charge of Maung Daw police station, accordance to firm sources.
